Chasing the DBIC Query is a Reaction HayStack
Overview
Reaction is known for it’s plethora of layers among other things such as stability, but the layers can be a pain in the ass to those who have resistant or a lack of means to understand the intimacy of its depths. And the Blockade Model feels like I’m be fored through a hoop a narrow cave to communicate with the blood of the application - the DM. If the DM is the heart, then I guess the IM could be the lungs. In any event I’m not sure it bypassing direct communication with the heart it worth it.
This rant is directed towards my current task of getting some DBIC sense (search chain) extracted from a Reaction application.
Chain of Controller Actions
Reaction and Catalyst programmer in general can get heavy with chaining. One needs to see or keep track of the sequence actions that are chained together when dealing with more complex apps. it can mess w/ ones synapsis at times. Pictures are worth a lot of words. hmmm.
